Fire-King is an Anchor Hocking brand of glassware similar to Pyrex. It was formerly made of low expansion borosilicate glass and ideal for oven use.  Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. of Lancaster, Ohio, began producing low-cost, ovenproof, borosilicate low-expansion glass dinnerware marked “FIRE-KING” in 1942. Production ran through 1976, creating a plentiful supply of affordable table and oven wares for households all over the country. It could be bought in sets or as single pieces.
Fire-King was originally produced in the 1940s for everyday use, rather than display.
The vintage nesting bowls, produced by the Anchor Hocking Company, are one of the most sought after collectible dishes of this type.
Fire-King is not designed for dishwasher use, which can dull its original lustre and remove any applied paint decorations.
There are many patterns that are very popular including Blue Mosaic, Wheat, Primrose, Fleurette, Forget Me Not and Anniversary Rose but also includes patterns with solid glass colors like Swirl/Shell (1965–76)
